Currently, we have several positions available in the Pacific open to applications for year of 2016-2017.
Up to 4 positions at the Majuro Deaf Education Center in the Republic of the Marshall Islands
Up to 3 positions at the Ebeye Deaf Education Center in the Republic of the Marshall Islands

To be eligible for this volunteer program, you must meet the following requirements:
Be 21-73 years old
Be fluent in ASL
Strong literacy skills in written English
Have a bachelor's degree by the date of program departure
Be in good health
Be able to serve one full year
International and/or teaching experience preferred (but not required)

The second part of the application process focuses on Deaf WorldTeach. You will have to:
Interview with Dr. Judith Coryell, the director of Deaf WorldTeach program
Submit two letters of recommendation to WorldTeach

You will submit all WorldTeach required documents online through www.worldteach.org. The WorldTeach home office will refer your application to the director of the Deaf WorldTeach program (Dr. Coryell). Once accepted, the director will submit your acceptance to the WorldTeach home office. Upon acceptance, WorldTeach will contact you about all steps outlined on the WorldTeach website regarding pre-departure information, paperwork requirements, and other preparations.
